Sally Gregory
Managing Director and Responsible Individual
With a background in children’s social care spanning over three decades, Sally has worked in a variety of roles and settings with looked after children, and remains resolutely committed to ensuring the best outcomes for those in our care.
As Managing Director, it is Sally’s role at Aspris Fostering Services to oversee the operational management of the agency, meticulously monitoring service delivery to ensure it aligns with our values and ethos, and delivers effective solutions to local authorities and meaningful support to our foster carers.
Michelle Bourne
Head of Service – Fostering
Michelle Bourne has over 13 years’ experience within the field of social work practice, this has been in various roles and has given Michelle lots of experience working with children and young people.
Michelle is also a qualified Practice Educator where she has supported social work students through their learning journey. Michelle was previously the Fostering Team Manager for Aspris Fostering Services and is now in post as the Head of Service within the fostering agency.
As Head of Service, Michelle is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the service and works closely with the Fostering Team Manager to ensure all foster carers receive the support required to look after the children and young people in their care.
One of Michelle’s objectives within her role is to work with the Aspris Fostering team to support positive outcomes for children and young people. Whilst another area that remains at the forefront of Michelle’s role is to ensure foster carers are heard and listened to; as we all know the role of a foster carer is demanding, challenging and no day is ever the same – however, Michelle does always point out that the role as a foster carer is also very rewarding.
Sukvinder Kaur
Team Manager
Sukvinder has over 25 years experience of working with looked after children, initially as a local authority social worker and then transitioning into the fostering field over 20 years ago.
Sukvinder is passionate about improving positive outcomes for the children in our care and supporting foster parents to enable this to be a positive process.
As well as supporting and supervising foster carers directly, Sukvinder manages a team of Supervising Social Workers within the fostering team and supports the day-to-day management of Aspris Fostering Services.
Sarah Akram
Senior Supervising Social Worker
Sarah joins our fostering team having acquired a wealth of experience as a children’s social worker across many different teams over the last 18 years. Sarah has always been committed to working with children and families in a way that promotes positive outcomes.
Sarah has expressed her excitement in joining our Aspris Fostering Services team and is looking forward to meeting and working with our foster families, children and young people, and the team.
Izzy Sutch
Fostering Support Worker
Izzy has a great deal of prior experience as a support worker, previously working within residential services specialising in supporting individuals with autism and other complex needs.
Izzy’s passion is to support children and young people to achieve the best possible outcomes using a caring and individually tailored approach. Having grown up within a family that fostered children, Izzy feels she has a lot to offer when it comes to being able to directly support our children, young people and foster carers.
Jane Bennett
Agency Decision Maker and Finance Co-ordinator
Prior to qualifying, Jane worked in children’s residential homes which she really enjoyed and gave her invaluable hands-on experience. Since qualifying in 2006, Jane has worked in safeguarding for the local authority and as a Supervising Social Worker within fostering.
Jane currently supports Aspris in her role as Agency Decision Maker and Finance Co-ordinator. Jane thoroughly enjoys supporting our foster carers in their crucial role.
Fi Newood
Psychotherapist
Fi is a qualified and experienced counsellor, psychotherapist, trainer and author. Fi is passionate about helping people to feel safe and lovable through relationships that give them a sense of belonging. Fi is an accomplished, experienced trainer and her course has been rated as 'excellent' by 99.8% of attendees since 2013.
As a foster-adopt parent and the founder of Belong Therapeutic Support, Fi is widely known for her work with parents and professionals in fostering and adoption. She loves working in this area, with fostering and then adopting being one of the best things Fi has ever done, but it has also been her greatest challenge. Therapeutic parenting of children and young people with trauma histories is hard. Belong Therapeutic Support started with a focus on supporting foster and adoptive families with this challenge. Counselling and psychotherapy can be a hugely beneficial part of the support offered within fostering and adoption.
Debi Stanley
Fostering Administrator and Placements Coordinator
Debi has many years of experience working as an administrator, several of which have been within fostering.
As one of the first points of contact for Aspris Fostering Services, Debi would like to assure you that she is happy to help with any questions you may have and is looking forward to getting to know you and helping to support you along your foster care journey.
Kylie Cheston
Deputy HR Director
Kylie has worked in HR for over 20 years and has extensive experience in a variety of HR roles across health, social care and education. In Kylie’s current role, she supports the fostering agency to enable our colleagues and foster careers to have the best experience they can with Aspris.
Jane Stone
Director of Governance & Risk
Jane trained as a Mental health Nurse during the 1980s, moving into NHS Management in 1990. She worked in a variety of roles in both Acute and specialist MH and LD trusts, with her last role being that of Chief Operating Officer for Hampshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Jane then went to work for the Priory Group, initially in the Healthcare Division, but then moved into a group role relating to service improvement and quality, alongside being the Group Director of Nursing. She was planning on early retirement at the time of Aspris being formed, but was asked to come for a three month period on a part time basis to set up governance systems, and nearly three years later, she is still here!
When not at work, Jane enjoys knitting, music, time with her husband, family and friends and collecting vintage teenage dolls.
Katie Dorrian
Head of Safeguarding
Katie worked within the Police service for 21 years, working in a variety of roles as a Detective Constable – CID, Child Protection, Exploitation, Safeguarding Unit and Missing Children's Project.
Katie joined Aspris in 2021 as Head of Safeguarding and provides professional leadership and promotes good safeguarding practices across the divisions, supporting regional safeguarding leads. She also monitors and evaluates safeguarding policies, procedures and training programs, making sure they are current and in line with National and regional guidance.
Katie is passionate about safeguarding, and when not at work supports the Church of Wales, local netball club and football teams as a Safeguarding Officer.
